Antalya Events Calendar 2027: From Aspendos to the Golden Orange

A year on the Antalya coast follows the calendar of its stages as much as that of the sun and the sea. Spring opens with a marathon through the city streets; summer lingers in ancient cities whose columns stay lit until late in the evening; September reaches its peak with opera on the steps of a theatre that has stood for almost two thousand years; and October closes the season with a film festival, a triathlon and Bavarian tables set out in hotel gardens. The rhythm repeats itself every year, and for guests who like to build a holiday around an event, it is the most reliable compass there is.

We have prepared this page as a month-by-month events calendar for guests staying with Kirman Premium in Side and Okurcalar in 2027. It is built on the confirmed dates of the events held in 2026. Most 2027 dates have not yet been announced by the organisers, so for each event we answer the question "in which period is it expected?" and add the exact dates to this page as they are published. The aim is simple: to help you place your holiday in the right month today.

Reading the 2027 Calendar: An Established Rhythm, Dates to Be Announced

Antalya's major events follow a calendar that has settled over many years. The opera and ballet festival at Aspendos was held for the 33rd time in 2026, and the Golden Orange Film Festival opened for the 63rd time in the same year. This continuity makes it possible to foresee which month will host which event in 2027, even before exact days are confirmed. The table below places the confirmed 2026 dates next to the period expected in 2027.

One detail is worth keeping in mind: public holidays follow the calendar, so their 2027 dates are fixed, while festivals and sporting events are announced anew by their organisers each year. Holidays planned around school breaks or bank holidays can therefore be settled today, whereas event-led plans are best anchored to a month and confirmed once the exact days are published. Spring: Runtalya, 23 April and the Eid Concerts

The first major gathering of the year is the Runtalya marathon, run through the centre of Antalya. Held since 2006 and run on 5 April 2026, it offers a half marathon and shorter races alongside the full distance, open to runners of every level. Once the organisers announce the 2027 date, race week pairs naturally with a few days of rest on the coast; the UK Easter weekend falls on 26-29 March 2027. In Turkey, 23 April is National Sovereignty and Children's Day, and in 2027 it falls on a Friday. May is set to be the busiest month of the 2027 calendar. Eid al-Adha falls on 16-19 May, with its eve on Saturday 15 May. The Eid week is lively for international guests as well. The UK early May bank holiday falls on 3 May 2027 and the spring bank holiday on 31 May, with May half term typically running from 31 May to 4 June. Summer Evenings: Night Museums and the August Stage

When Turkish schools close on Friday 25 June 2027, the coast settles into its summer rhythm. The most distinctive experience of the season is exploring ancient cities once the heat has eased. Under the night museum programme, which ran from 1 June to 1 October in 2026, the ancient city of Side was open until 22:00 and Aspendos between 19:00 and 22:00. The programme begins in early June and ends in early October each summer; the 2027 hours and dates should be confirmed once the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism publishes them. For guests staying in Side, the experience is little more than an evening stroll. Sidemarin lies within walking distance of the ancient city; walking to the columns of the Temple of Apollo after dinner and watching the last of the light over the sea becomes one of the simplest and most memorable moments of the holiday. July and August are the months when the stage moves into the hotel gardens. In August 2026, under the "Stars of 2026" programme, Sakiler performed on the Arycanda and Leodikya stage on 1 August, İskender Paydaş at Sidera on 8 August and at Arycanda and Leodikya on 15 August, and Gökhan Tepe at Sidera on 29 August. August is also when the ancient theatre of Aspendos comes alive with summer shows, while the concert calendar on the coast grows busier. In 2027 the UK summer bank holiday falls on Monday 30 August, the same day as Turkey's Victory Day, which makes the last weekend of August a long one in both countries.

September: Opera and Ballet at Aspendos

The most refined date in Antalya's calendar takes place in September at the ancient theatre of Aspendos. The International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival was held for the 33rd time from 12 to 26 September 2026, with performances starting at 21:00. Built in the Roman era between AD 161 and 180 and standing for around 1,900 years, the theatre has an acoustic that turns these evenings into an experience no other stage can offer. For guests staying in Side, Aspendos is about 35 km away, roughly 40 minutes by car; from Okurcalar the journey takes around 1 hour 20 minutes. Setting off at about 18:30 on a performance evening lets you reach the theatre without rushing. The festival weeks coincide with the warmest sea of the year. In September the average daytime high is 31.7°C and the sea is 27-28°C, while the coast grows calmer as schools return. Late September and October: Oktoberfest, Triathlon and the Golden Orange

From the last week of September, the hotel gardens take on Bavarian colours. In 2025, Oktoberfest was celebrated at all five Kirman Premium hotels: on 22 September at Arycanda and Leodikya, 25 September at Calyptus, 26 September at Sidera, 29 September at Sidemarin, 6 October at Leodikya and 9 October at Sidemarin. The ceremonial tapping of the barrel, pretzels and sausages, games such as tug of war and log sawing, and a musical parade with saxophone and snare drums are what make these evenings. The end of October is the week when sport and cinema meet. The Alanya Triathlon took place on 23-25 October 2026; with 31-36 km and 30-42 minutes between Okurcalar and central Alanya, guests at Sidera, Arycanda and Leodikya are well placed to watch the race. The 63rd Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival took place from 24 to 31 October 2026 at venues in central Antalya. The city centre is 73-75 km from Side and around 103 km from Okurcalar. Early November: IRONMAN 70.3 in Belek

The final major event of the calendar is IRONMAN 70.3 Turkey, held in Belek in the first days of November. Run on Sunday 1 November 2026, the race comprises a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike leg and a 21.1 km run. Belek is about 40 km from the Side area, which makes race day an easy outing for guests at Sidemarin and Calyptus. The 2027 race date will be announced by the organiser.

In November the sea is still 21-22°C, above the 20°C generally regarded as the threshold for comfortable swimming. This last window of the season appeals both to athletes taking part in the race and to guests looking for a quiet autumn break. Placing an event at the heart of a holiday also shapes the choice of where to stay.
